We receive numerous referrals from other automotive and suspension facilities which do not have the equipment and/or expertise to repair chronic problem vehicles. This along with customer referrals help generate a great amount of our business. We are constantly striving to stay ahead of new vehicle technology and repair procedures. Our technicians stay on the forefront of technology.

A wheel alignment can prevent unnecessary tire wear and save you money. Have you noticed any unusual bald spots on your tires? Does your car seem to drift to the right or left when you take your hands off the steering wheel? Is the steering wheel not centered when your car is moving straight?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, chances are that your wheels are out of alignment. A misalignment affects your steering and, eventually, if not repaired, can cause premature tire wear. In addition, a wheel misalignment can decrease your gas mileage, because crooked wheels increase the friction as your tires roll across the pavement. A misalignment can be caused by a number of factors, including normal wear and stress. Hitting a pothole can also throw your car's delicate alignment out of whack.

How can you tell if your wheels are out of alignment?

  • Excessive or uneven tire wear
  • Steering wheel pulls to the left or right
  • Feeling of looseness or wandering
  • Steering wheel is not centered when car is moving straight ahead
  • Steering wheel vibrates or shimmies

Type of Alignments   East County Alignment & Brake
Geometric centerline alignment toe on each wheel is measured and adjusted using the vehicles geometric centerline as a reference. Geometric centerline alignment has been used for many years and may provide a satisfactory alignment if the rear wheels are positioned squarely with the geometric centerline

Thrust Line Alignment
Aligning the front wheels to the vehicles thrust line is a significant improvement over aligning to the Geometric centerline. In the thrust line method, rear individual toe is measured but not adjusted. The thrust line created by the rear wheel is used as a reference for aligning the front wheels. As a result, the customer is assured of a straight steering wheel as the vehicle moves straight ahead.
East County Alignment & Brake established in 1978, has become one of the premier suspension and brake specialty shops in Southern California. A large amount of our business comes as referrals from other automotive or suspension facilities that are not able to repair certain chronic problem vehicles. We feel that you cannot receive a higher compliment that this.

We have become leaders in the field due to our commitment to excellence in service. We are constantly staying aware of the new vehicle technology and repair procedures.

Our technicians are highly trained and educated in the repair procedures accepted by the industry and our list of equipment is unsurpassed.
